JON P. LANGHOUT

We are Suzy and Hondo, of Bemidji, Minnesota.

We have been teaching Social Dancing in the northern lakes area since 1995 and formed our Independent Studio/Business in December of 1998.

Since then we have been improving on our Social Dance teaching skills by adding Ballroom Style to our abilities.

We list as our mission "Basics for Beginners," and focus on bringing the fun side of partner dancing to our community.

Suzy is also Adjunct Instructor at Bemidji State University, where she teaches (with Hondo) all the dance classes.

Her duties there include Social Dance Levels I and II, Swing Dance Club, The BSU Dance Team, and the annual BSU Funtastic Dance Follies - a campus tradition since 1945.

Suzy's Mother, Marion Christianson, taught all the dance classes at BSU up until her retirement in 1995, whereupon Suzy took over her duties.

Since we both pretty much went right in to teaching the opportunity to be "Amateurs" never took place. So our focus in the world of Ballroom Dancing has been to concentrate on our teaching abilities.

It is for this reason we have chosen to become members and follow the DVIDA Teaching Certification plan.
